Paintings and drawings sometimes connect to one another in ways that are not always established when they are conceived. It is interesting to watch as things work in new and unexpected ways.For one reason or another, from time to time, some of my studio work joins with other pieces to make a new work.I wonder if that is a result of being surrounded by sewing and knitting and quilting projects in my youth.
In later years the encouragement of teachers allowed me to consider the process valid for painting as well. Materials were always being shared and passed along.
Coats could become rugs or shirts a quilt.
